Social Dance
Friday, September 4
6:00-9:00 PM
Dance the night away — no partner, no experience, no problem.
Join us on the first Friday of the month for an evening of movement, music, and community. In partnership with Fred Astaire Dance Studios in Oconomowoc, we’re bringing the joy of ballroom dance to Fort Atkinson in a way that’s welcoming, fun, and completely beginner-friendly.
The evening kicks off with an hour-long dance lesson from 6:00–7:00 PM, led by professional ballroom dance instructors who will teach easy, approachable steps you can actually use on the dance floor. From 7:00–9:00 PM, the floor opens up for social dancing — put those new moves to work as we dance to modern hits you already know and love.
Whether you’re a seasoned dancer or have never set foot on a dance floor, you’ll feel right at home. Come solo, bring a friend, or make new ones here.
Free. No partner necessary. All ages and abilities welcome.
Latin Night on the Lawn
Friday, September 11
6:00-9:00 PM
Latin Night on the Lawn is the third installment of our summer outdoor music series—and we’re bringing the rhythm, flavor, and energy to the Fort Atkinson Club Community Center!
Join us and the Angela Puerta Trio – a Latin music ensemble rooted in rich Afro-Colombian traditions – for an evening of live music, delicious food, and community fun under the summer sky. Bring a lawn chair, gather your friends, and enjoy the sights, sounds, and flavors of a vibrant night on the lawn.
Since its formation in 2018, the Angela Puerta Trio has performed regularly at music festivals throughout Wisconsin as well as at private and community events. Blending vibrant tropical rhythms with familiar American genres such as rock and pop, the group creates a cultural bridge that invites audiences to dance, connect, and celebrate through engaging performances in both English and Spanish. Their high-energy shows showcase the richness of Colombian musical traditions while fostering a fun, welcoming, and inclusive atmosphere for audiences of all ages.
Whether you come to dance, enjoy the music, or simply relax with great food and great company, Latin Night on the Lawn is a celebration you won’t want to miss.
