Chamber Concert Series

These easy-listening concerts take place upstairs in the FAC Theater. This intimate space is the perfect setting to feature instrumental and vocal talents. Music genres range from classical instrumentals to folksongs and uplifting vocal performances. Each concert lasts one hour, followed by a wine and appetizer reception.

Concerts begin at 4:00 pm. Doors open at 3:45 PM. 

Jeffery Charles Wagner

Jeffrey Charles Wagner is a Chicago-area pianist who spends much time in Fort Atkinson, and is delighted to perform a program of popular and classical music, with spoken commentary to the community. He earned a BA in the history of music from Northwestern University, and a master's in piano performance from Indiana University’s famed School of Music (now known as the Jacobs School). He has taught in the community music program at the Cleveland Institute of Music, and has written extensively about music, primarily for Clavier Magazine. He will bring historical and cultural context with the music he perform. In this way he hopes to make for today's listeners music of previous eras to be living and and fresh expressions of our cultural heritage.

This is a FREE concert. All are welcome to attend. A reception with light refreshments will follow the performance. 

 

Cel Canto

Cel Canto is a professional cello quartet ensemble comprised of Midwest-based university faculty and orchestral cellists.

The group is well known for its regional performances across the Midwest, including guest appearances on Wisconsin Public Radio (WPR) and collaborations at regional music institutions. Their repertoire features classical works arranged specifically for multi-cello instrumentation, covering pieces by composers such as Johann Sebastian Bach, Richard Wagner, and Giovanni Gabrieli.
