Ann Lobotzke & Friends
Ann is principal harpist for the Milwaukee Ballet, a longtime substitute for the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, and the harpist for the Skylight Opera. Her orchestral venues have been as diverse as Carnegie Hall in New York City, the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., and Teatro Amadeo Roldan in Havana, Cuba.
It has been her privilege to play in orchestras backing such artists as Johnny Mathis, Josh Groban, The Irish Tenors, Tony Bennett, and famed tenor Luciano Pavarotti. She is “first call” for local and touring musical theater productions and recording studios. She enjoys being a “rock harpist”, playing in orchestras for the Moody Blues, Three Dog Night, Kansas, Dennis DeYoung, and Peter Cetera.
Alongside Ann will be violinist Timothy Klabunde and cellist Adrien Zitoun.
Timothy Klabunde has performed with the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra since 1980 and is currently the Assistant Principal Second Violin. MSO tours have taken him to the great concert halls of Japan, Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, England, and Cuba. A native Milwaukeean, Mr. Klabunde studied violin with Leonard Sorkin, Abram Loft, and chamber music with Bernard Zaslav and George Sopkin, members of the Fine Arts Quartet at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
Adrien Zitoun joined the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra in 2001. He also performs with Present Music and the Philomusica String Quartet, which has residency at the Wisconsin Lutheran College. Mr. Zitoun teaches at the Wisconsin Lutheran College, coaches the Milwaukee Youth Symphony Orchestras, and has a handful of dedicated private students.
While these concerts are open and free to the public, many dedicated patrons and sponsors are to be thanked for their generosity and support of the Chamber Series Concerts.
