DESCRIPTION:Dance the night away — no partner\, no experience\, no problem. \nJoin us on the first Friday of every month for an evening of movement\, music\, and community. In partnership with Fred Astaire Dance Studios in Oconomowoc\, we’re bringing the joy of ballroom dance to Fort Atkinson in a way that’s welcoming\, fun\, and completely beginner-friendly. \nThe evening kicks off with an hour-long dance lesson from 6:00–7:00 PM\, led by professional ballroom dance instructors who will teach easy\, approachable steps you can actually use on the dance floor. From 7:00–9:00 PM\, the floor opens up for social dancing — put those new moves to work as we dance to modern hits you already know and love. \nWhether you’re a seasoned dancer or have never set foot on a dance floor\, you’ll feel right at home. Come solo\, bring a friend\, or make new ones here. \nFree. No partner necessary. All ages and abilities welcome.

SUMMARY:Homegrown: A Community Gathering
DESCRIPTION:What makes a place feel like home? \nFor us\, it is the people who gather here. The artists who create here. The businesses that invest here. The farmers and makers who nourish us. The neighbors who show up for one another. \nThis October 3\, the Fort Atkinson Club Community Center will bring all of that together for Homegrown: A Community Gathering\, our annual fundraising gala. Inspired by our current exhibition\, Homegrown: Locally Sourced Art from the Rock River Region\, the evening will celebrate the creativity\, history\, culture\, generosity\, and character of the place we call home. \nOur tables will feature charcuterie made with locally sourced meats\, cheeses\, preserves\, and other regional products. Local businesses will help us create a signature cocktail. Local artists\, artisans\, florists\, growers\, restaurants\, makers\, and producers will help fill the room with beautiful things to eat\, drink\, see\, experience\, and take home. The community center belongs to everyone. \nThe FAC exists to provide free and low-cost programs that are inclusive\, accessible\, and welcoming to our entire community. Throughout the year\, we offer chamber concerts\, FAC Talks\, wellness classes\, art programs and exhibitions\, summer patio concerts\, community meals\, and much more. \nOur vision is: “A vibrant Fort Atkinson area\, alive with cultural and learning experiences — music\, visual arts\, lectures\, drama\, wellness and celebrations — where our diverse population is actively engaged.” \nPurchase Tickets
